Chicken Soup
I just received this email and would like to share it with you. I made your chicken soup today..mmmm chicken soup
for the soul..the recipe is good. I liked the choices of adding rice, barley and pasta and lima beans. Cooking your choice of
rice, barley pasta or lima beans separately and adding it to the soup was a good idea. It keeps it more firm and it is easier to cook it the right amount of
time.. ..the instructions were well written, to get the fat off and to use a cheese cloth. ANd it should taste delicious.
added a pinch of this mixture of seasonings:
Recipe for snowy day
March 21st. It’s snowing. I will make my fat free Marblehead Fish Chowder (pg 42) which is very creamy, thick and flavorful. I will serve it in bread bowls (pg 43). I will use boules from Traditional Breads in Lynn, MA to make the bread bowls because they are delicious, hold up well and are made with good ingredients (no bad fats). Great pairing for my chowder.
Healthy Hamantashen Recipe
I don’t feel guilty any more when eating Hamantashen because I make my own with whole grains and organic fruits. No margarine, egg yolks, salt or butter. Actually, they are beneficial to health. Of course, I took an hour walk to earn the healthy calories. Recipe on page 223 in “Something Healthy to Eat”.
A friend writes about my desserts
Wonderfully simple and tasty desserts made with healthy organic ingredients that even an all thumbs baker can create and present with pride. The organic whole flour chocolate chip pan cookie was a one bowl affair to satisfy any sweet tooth at the end of a meal. The strawberry cheesecake was light and fluffy made with egg whites and fat free ricotta cheese … delicious and healthful. And my favourite, the carrot mini muffins …. so moist and tasty bursting with carrot cake flavor.

Quick Chicken Supper and Lunch
Friday night I made “Sprinkle Chicken” recipe (pg. 79). Took me about 5 minutes. Yum!
For Saturday lunch, I used the leftover chicken for sandwiches and “Avocado Surprise” (pg. 84). Yummy, quick and easy too.
